…will be in Florida next year. Check back for details.
There! Now it’s been updated since Mar 2016! And no, Roons on DP, I’m not the primary webmaster for this site anymore, and haven’t been since Jay Corn rewrote it from nothing when he came into office for his brief stay as A6 Director. They definitely could USE a new webmaster. If anyone is interested, please contact Bruce Wells.
I would like to announce a change for the Alabama Section Coordinator. First I would like to thank Mark Ruschak for his years of dedicated service to the great state of Alabama in USPSA. Our hope is he will enjoy many years of shooting with his service to the sport with fond memories. Please thank him when you meet him on the range.
We would like to welcome Mark Kauder to this position. Mark is well respected as a match director for the the AL Section Championship for a number of years. Please congratulate and suppot Mark in the coming months. Thanks Mark for taking a leadership role.
Area 6 Director

Please join me in congratulating (or symphathizing with?) the next Section Coordinator of the Georgia Section GA-05, Mr. Randy Arrowood.
Randy will be assuming his new position immediately. Randy has had his finger on the pulse of USPSA for quite a while now and will bring you a new level of positive guidance and leadership that will benefit the several clubs of the Georgia Section and their members.
Also at this time, please welcome, as the new President and Contact for South Atlanta Practical Shooting Club, Mr. Clint VanHoy. SAPSC has grown and prospered under Randy’s leadership and I’m confident it will continue to do so for Clint.
And lastly, thank you for having me as your Section Coordinator for the last eight years. It has been an honor and a privilege to have served. I have watched with satisfaction as the several clubs have grown and prospered and have no doubt they will continue to do so, and then some, with Randy at the helm.
Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for our sport.
Former Section Coordinator

USPSA has some new videos available on youtube. The videos are an excellent 4-part series (with more to come) about practical shooting fundamentals, and feature Travis Tomasie.
Quoting USPSA’s Facebook page for the videos:
“Are you new to shooting this year or do you know someone who is? USPSA wants to encourage new shooters to try give competitive shooting a try. To help, USPSA teamed up with top shooter Travis Tomasie to develop the USPSA Shooting Fundamentals YouTube video series. We hope these short videos will help give new shooters the basics of making accurate and fast pistol shots.
“The videos bring you through the 4 key areas of pistol marksmanship: Stance, Grip, Sight Alignment and Trigger control. Travis shows you the basic concepts that will help you get shots on target quickly.
“[USPSA] will be developing more videos in the coming months to highlight other aspects of USPSA competition including training, rules, running a match and doing your best in competition. [Their] hope is that these videos will be shared with your friends and family along with an invitation to come on out a give USPSA shooting a try!”
All the classifiers that were pulled in February have been reinstated. A BoD vote earlier this week approved the reinstatement of the classifiers. These classifiers may be phased out in the future as new ones are brought in, but for now we have responded to the many complaints from the members.
Hi Folks. We received this from Area 5 Director Kyle Farris last night (Jan 31st) at 10:51 p.m., an hour and 9 minutes before it took effect.
Hello USPSA Section Coordinators and Club Presidents,
Per direction from USPSA President, Phil Strader, I am sending this email. Please get this out to all Match Setup staff, directly.
With the division change to Revolver, allowing 8-shot Minor, going into play in February…USPSA needs to pull some of the classifiers (at least for the time being). See the list below. You are getting this ahead of any changes on the USPSA website.
